BackgroundThe Living-i project is a development of five houses using some of the latest innovations in the constuction industry. The site at Irlam in Manchester features a ThermoneX basement under the Techno House. |

ConstructionThe basement was built in three days. Lightweight insulated wall panels are craned into position. Precast floor planks are stitched into the wall panels. Then the joints are sealed with a waterproof grout. |
Finished BasementThe basement accommodates a media room, gym, bathroom and utility. |
